Some more fixes, and the release tag was moved forward accordingly. I
built a new snapshot and added it to our download site.

MACOSX: very popular distro! we already have a couple of bug reports
on the preview (thanks Peter). They should be fixed by now.

WINDOWS: the gdbm reorganize issue persists, although Thorsten and
Leif tried a number of patches that purportedly fixed it. Also thanks
to them, a small test case in C should shortly make its way to the
GDBM Windows maintainers. There is nothing we can do to fix the
problem in this release. We need to wait for it to be fixed through
official channels.

SOLARIS: thanks to clever investigative work by Valentin and the
systems people at UCL in Belgium, the remaining issues on Solaris have
been resolved... at least for the main Mozart distribution - let's
see, if we can also succeed with the GTK extensions :-)

RPMs: still not a single person has tried to build the binary rpms on
a distro other than Red Hat 8.0. Come on, guys! You just grab the
source RPMs and issue a simple "rpmbuild --rebuild ..." command.

My plan is to build the final snapshot on Sunday and announce the
release on Monday. Do NOT count on my prompt support after that
date. If it matters to you that the release works on your platform,
try it out RIGHT NOW and report the results IMMEDIATELY.

Cheers,
