Of course, it is not perfect but it does at least not add a new quirk. There
always have been cases where could have recursion through the normal runtime
stack. In this case it should not matter at all.

PS: And to be honest, I am so deadly impressed by Kevin making an important
contribution to something that stinks so badly...
