Hi Kevin,

I merged the perl fix into the inline-opcode-map branch. The tr
problem is slightly tricky because your tests don't quite prove what
you think they prove (i.e. try input with square brackets :-). I
looked up the GNU tr doc and it says explicitly that the System V tr
has incompatible syntax not supported by GNU tr. I'll cook up a fix
asap. Thanks for looking into this problem.
