I have read in "Multi-Paradigm Programming in Oz" [Mueller/Mueller/Van R
oy 1995] that Oz does not support meta-programming as for instance Prolo
g does (call/1, assert/1). My main field of interest is the study of nat
ural languages and I really do not know if meta-processing matters here.
After just a few hours of reading part of the excellent documentation o
f the Mozart system I have got the intuition that Oz actually does allow
meta-programming, even though perharps not directly.
Shortly: does Oz (directly or indirectly) support meta-programming? What
is meta-programming important for?
Thank you very much for your help.
