Probably what you are complaining about is the graphical response and Tk is
not so fast, but if you are looking for a tool for constraint programming Oz
is fast enough to manage real life problems with thousands of variables and
threads, robust enough to write code that you can forget at the customer,
open enough to satisfy your curiosity of programmer ;-).
