Wait a sec. I am trying to remember what that means in Java (it has
been a while). Isn't that what would be "const" in C++? In that
case, why use a cell? just use a variable:
local VAR = VALUE in .... end
voila! it's "final" by monotonicity.

It's even simpler in Mozart. If they feel penalized by simplicity,
they are masochists (which actually was the general point of my little
jab, so I shouldn't feel so surprised :-)
