Debian packages for Mozart are provided through the official Debian package repository for its stable, testing, and unstable distributions on a variety of architectures.
A complete installation of Mozart can be obtained with the command
apt-get install mozart mozart-doc mozart-stdlib
To stay in sync, you should regularly run apt-get update
and apt-get upgrade.
For Ubuntu the same Mozart packages are available from its universe
section.
The Debian packages involve significant repackaging of the Mozart release and may contain bug fixes taken from Mozart’s SVN repository so it will be helpful if you mention that you are running the Debian version when making bug reports, or describing unexpected behaviour on the Mozart mailing lists. Bug reports and Improvement requests can also be made through Debian’s Bug Tracking System.
The package mozart-gtk is no longer part of the Debian
distribution of Mozart. The maintenance of this package was cancelled.
